LENT
We've begun our Spring series for Lent – A Good End: Living Well and Dying Well. This series invites us to prepare intentionally for Easter by walking intentionally through the season of Lent. At its core, Lent is a time of ‘letting go' - both of parts of our life and life in general - in anticipation of Easter. We’ll be considering what it means to “die well,” so that at the end of our lives we may look back with joy, gratitude, and contentment – rather than regret – on the life we’ve lived.
Getting clear on what we need in order to “die well” naturally gives us clarity on how we can adjust to “live well.” This process begins by asking ourselves, “What do we need to put down? And what do we need to pick up?”

We invite you to participate in this special prayer experience by answering the following prayer prompt:
Pray for me as
"I'm laying down _________________"
and/or
"I'm picking up __________________."
"I'm laying down _________________"
and/or
"I'm picking up __________________."
- by writing your prayer on a sticky note and placing it on the butcher paper located on the wall on either side of the stage (see the examples below), or
- by texting your prayer to the following number: (931) 369-2574 [You can expect to receive a text asking if you want to OPT-IN or STOP receiving texts from Text in Church. This is a one-time response.]

During Lent we will enter into special times of prayer throughout the worship service to pray over these as a community.
Beginning Sunday, March 16, we will add "Answered Prayer" cards to the tables. We want you to share with us your stories of how God has shown up and shown out during this season. You can place them into the black boxes located on the tables.
We can't wait to hear your stories of God's mercy and grace as God walks you through this new connection with him! Remember - You are not alone. Your church family is here to pray for you and to help you in your walk with Jesus.
